ABOUT ANDREA ~ I've been in education for over 22 years, and I've done a little bit of everything, from teaching high school English, to elementary school literacy, including some time spent in the middle (school) as an advisor. The common thread throughout is my love for working with students. When it was time for my daughter's school to build their college counseling program, I jumped on board and discovered a new career. I received my College Counseling Certificate with distinction from UCLA Extension, and I'm a member of several professional organizations (HECA, IECA Associate Member, NACAC, and SACAC). I recently assumed the role of HECA's Community Representative for the Charlotte area. I travel extensively, touring colleges so I can share firsthand knowledge of campuses with my clients, and I regularly attend regional and national conferences to stay current on trends in college admissions. My goal is to develop meaningful connections with clients so we can work together to find postsecondary options that ensure student success and happiness. Most people reflect on their college experience as some of their best years. I believe getting there should be a process filled with excitement and anticipation.
